Concrete Visions IIID Series
Concrete Visions IIID explores the relationship between photography, architecture, and material structure. The work begins with black-and-white urban photographs that focus on architectural forms, strong contrasts, and the subtle presence of people moving through the city. In this series, the photographic image is no longer confined to paper or a traditional frame—it becomes embedded within concrete itself.
Concrete carries the physical and symbolic weight of the modern city. By integrating photography with this material, the work reflects the same architectural environments from which the images originate. Cracks, fractures, and structural tensions appear within the surface, not as flaws but as part of the visual language of the piece.
Each artwork is titled “System Error #”, suggesting moments where rigid structures—both physical and societal—begin to fracture. These disruptions create space for reflection, revealing the fragile balance between permanence and collapse within the systems that shape urban life.
Through this process, photography becomes a physical object with weight, texture, and presence, inviting viewers to experience the city as both image and structure.
